Developer Evil Empire has detailed The Second Act, a major update that will come to The Rogue Prince of Persia on November 21. The update will "effectively double the game's content from launch" according to the developer, making it the first major content release to the early access title since its May release.

The Second Act will introduce several new gameplay elements, expanding the game with additional biomes, bosses, and enemy types, which are not yet detailed. The narrative content will grow with a complete second story act, while the existing first act will receive substantial polish improvements. Players will also get new quality-of-life features, including the highly requested multiple save slots system.

A complete visual overhaul will accompany these additions, featuring revised color palettes and enhanced environmental details. The Prince will no longer be purple, with the developer stating that "this change was made as the purple tone just didn't fit with the new direction."

The update will also bring international accessibility improvements, adding full localization support in German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

The game's development will continue through 2025, and the developer announced that it would provide more details about these changes next week.
