Bandai Namco shared its 2025 plans for Tekken 8 at the World Tour Grand Finals, where series producer Katsuhiro Harada presented two major updates planned for Q1 and Q2 2025.

The winter update will introduce an enhanced photo mode with new customization options, including adjustable facial expressions and hand gestures for character screenshots. A player search feature will also debut, designed to streamline the process of connecting with other players. The update package will also add cosmetic items for the Tekken franchise's 30th anniversary.

The spring 2025 update will be the beginning of Season Two with balance adjustments and additional moves for the full character roster. The update preview featured Nina Williams in combat with a missile-equipped helicopter.

Following the October release of returning character Heihachi Mishima, who joined the roster with Patch 1.08, the next DLC fighter will be revealed on December 12 to complete the Year One Pass lineup.

Bandai Namco also confirmed the return of the Tekken World Tour in 2025, with tournament structure details pending announcement.
