Shift Up has announced new downloadable content for Stellar Blade, launching on November 20. The DLC features a collaboration with Nier: Automata. Shift Up CTO DongKi Lee made the announcement in an official PlayStation Blog post.
According to the announcement, Nier: Automata significantly inspired Stellar Blade, with directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro partnering on the crossover content.
The update introduces Nier: Automata character Emil, voiced by Maii Kadowaki, to Stellar Blade, along with Emil's Shop containing eleven collaboration items. These special items combine elements from both games, though specific details remain unannounced.
A new photo mode system lets players control camera angles and apply filters during gameplay moments. The system includes character posing options across the game's environments, from combat sequences to exploration areas. Players can share their captured moments through the PlayStation 5's built-in features.
The update adds four new costumes and the Symbol of Legacy accessory, which modifies Tachy Mode's appearance. Character customization expands with additional hairstyle options for Eve, including a "no ponytail" setting. Players can now also select specific music tracks at the camp's turntable.
The technical update implements auto-targeting and ballistics correction features, while adding lip-sync support for six additional languages: French, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Italian, German, and Portuguese.
Stellar Blade launched earlier this year as a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
