The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket development team confirmed that card trading will launch in January 2025, with initial functionality limited to specific cards. The feature, currently grayed out in the game's Social Hub menu, will expand its tradable card selection over time, according to the development team's social media announcement.

While the team announced that new booster packs will release before the end of 2024 to expand the current Genetic Apex collection of Mewtwo, Charizard, and Pikachu sets, CentroLeaks on X provided specific dates. According to the leaker, a new Genetic Apex booster pack, codenamed "A1a," arrives December 16, with an "A2" expansion following on January 29.

Several new events are also detailed in CentroLeaks' post. These include a potential Black Friday event on November 21, a Mass Outbreak event running November 21-28, and a Drop Event from November 28 to December 12. Players can also expect a two-part Bulbasaur and Magnemite event from December 5-19, alongside the game's first store update since launch on November 30.

"We have other new features in development outside of the trade feature," the development team stated in its announcement, adding that details would follow once release dates are finalized. While CentroLeaks has provided specific dates for upcoming content, the leaker also notes that all datamined information remains subject to change.
