NCSoft's November development update revealed Castle Siege, a new guild warfare system launching in Throne and Liberty on November 17, where guilds will battle for control of Stoneguard Castle in 45-minute conflicts.
Defending guilds will start in Stoneguard Castle's throne room, and attackers will breach the fortress through three entry points: demolishing walls with siege golems, infiltrating the sewer system, or attacking from above on flying whales. After breaching the walls, attackers will need to find and operate castle gate levers, with each of the three gates requiring two players to open.
Guild leaders who reach the throne will transform into Usurpers, enhanced knights who will gain power from nearby allies. Capturing the castle will require holding the throne room for three minutes.
Attackers will use four types of siege golems: Stone Crashers will break walls; Battle Carriers will move troops; Gate Hammers will attack from range; and Jump Attackers will climb defenses. Teams will take control of Siege Ruins outside the castle as teleport points into battle, while capturing Resurrection Stones will provide additional spawn points closer to the action.
Victorious guilds will earn the Legion Guild title, granting them authority to set tax rates, manage resources, and control marketplace access in the Solisium region.
