Nixxes Software has released patch 1.2 for the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. The update brings a range of technical improvements and visual enhancements to address issues reported since the game's October 31 launch, according to the official patch notes.

The developer has improved the level of detail when viewing settlements from a distance, and turkeys are now displayed with the correct level of detail in far range. Visible neck seams of the character models have been removed, and face paint will render correctly when using medium or lower graphics presets.

On the technical side, the patch focuses on resolving several PC control issues. Steam Input has been improved to maintain consistent controller functionality, while a fix for Photo Mode ensures smooth mouse camera movement across multi-monitor setups. The patch also corrects visual anomalies in widescreen cinematics and improves overall performance.

Additional fixes address audio balancing in pre-rendered cutscenes for multi-channel output systems, remove incorrectly placed climbing points in the Devil's Thirst region, and introduce a new combat mechanic allowing players to charge their bow while performing dodge rolls.

The PlayStation 5 version has received patch 1.006 also addressing similar issues, though fewer fixes were required.
