Dead by Daylight's 2v8 mode returns from November 12 to November 26, where two killers face eight survivors who must repair eight of 13 generators to escape. This time, there are three new killers in the roster - The Blight, The Spirit, and The Deathslinger, according to Behaviour Interactive's announcement.

The mode replaces traditional perks and hooks with a comprehensive class system. Killers choose from four classes that define their playstyle: Shadow for stealth abilities near teammates, Brute for faster object destruction, Enforcer for increased speed when pursuing injured survivors, and Fearmonger for boosts when operating alone. Teams must select different classes for each killer.

Survivors also receive specialized roles, choosing between Medic, Scout, Guide, or Escapist classes. Each class gains a unique ability after being caged once - Medics can reveal their aura to teammates while injured, while Guides receive bonus generator repair progress. These abilities help survivors coordinate their escape efforts against the dual killer threat.

The mode's Event Tome lets players earn three cosmetic items: the Comfy Cage badge, Cuddly Crow badge, and Lovely Lounge banner. The developer has also expanded the map pool to include The Spirit's Yamaoka Estate and The Deathslinger's Dead Dawg Saloon, alongside existing locations like MacMillan Estate, Autohaven Wreckers, Coldwind Farm, Red Forest, and Crotus Prenn Asylum.

Behaviour Interactive has warned of longer queue times for killer players and will increase survivor rewards to address the imbalance.
